British Council 60th Anniversary Scholarships and
British Chevening Scholarships

The British Council has been providing education opportunities in the UK for Hong Kong students for more than six decades. As part of our year-long celebrations to mark our 60th anniversary in Hong Kong, we are delighted to announce that we are giving more students than ever in the next academic year, the chance to experience a UK education. Thanks to the generosity and support of some of the UK’s leading institutions, we can offer 47 British Council 60th Anniversary Scholarships for study in a school, college or university for the academic year 2009 – 2010, exclusively for Hong Kong students. As well as these newly-created scholarships, anyone interested in postgraduate study in the UK can also apply for the established British Chevening Scholarships which are awarded annually by the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office to outstanding young professionals from Hong Kong and Macao for postgraduate study in the UK.

For more information about any of the scholarships, please visit our website or call 2913 5100. The application period for the British Council’s 60th Anniversary Scholarships runs from 1 November 2008 to 28 February 2009 and the Chevening Scholarships runs from 10 November 2008 to 30 January 2009
